Session Description:

Most therapists would have heard of the efficacy of Dr. Sue Johnson’s Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT). Do you want to know how Emotionally Focused Therapy can apply to family work? If so, you will want to join Dr. Herman Chow in this introductory workshop on Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT).

Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) is an attachment-based model that integrates systemic and experiential interventions to heal broken families. EFFT therapists focus on the emotional experience within a family and the negative cycle that prevents family members from connecting.

This workshop will provide an overview of EFFT and discuss how EFFT helps family members become more accessible, responsive, and engaging (A.R.E).

In this webinar, you will:

  1. Capture the basic theory of EFFT
  2. Distinguish the key differences between EFCT and EFFT
  3. Examine the 3 stages of EFFT briefly
  4. Experience a short demonstration of EFFT
